German

The German language is officially spoken in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, i.e. in total it is used by about 105 million native speakers and almost 85 million non-native speakers. It is worth noting that it is the second language in population – after Russian – spoken in Europe, while the third taught language after English and French.

In a first contact with the German language, the student realizes the similarities with Greek in grammar and vocabulary. Also, the German language shows many similarities with English, both in the alphabet and in vocabulary, while the roots of most words are shared.
German is very important in the academic community. In fact, they rank as the second most commonly used scientific language. Knowing German can significantly improve the chances of professional rehabilitation.
